Martinsville City Public Schools is excited to announce new paid internship opportunities in the manufacturing field for high school seniors through the district's Career and Technical Education (CTE) program.
Rising seniors are invited to apply for these work-based learning experiences at major local manufacturing companies including Eastman, PressGlass, Howmet Aerospace, and Crown Holdings. Students will participate in multiple interviews as part of the competitive selection process.
These internships will allow students to gain in-depth exposure in manufacturing operations as well as develop critical technical skills through hands-on training. In addition to their regular coursework, interns will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with industry professionals, learn advanced manufacturing techniques, and earn money while exploring career opportunities.
Interested rising seniors are encouraged to speak with their school counselor about the internship application process.
This new program, built in partnership with the Martinsville-Henry County Chamber of Commerce and Virginia Career Works- West Piedmont Region, continues our commitment to providing innovative career-based learning opportunities that prepare students for success after graduation. We are thrilled to partner with these prestigious companies to provide our students with invaluable real-world experience in high-paying manufacturing careers!
